Podcast 10 – Pearls before Swine

Rich and I talk about the growing intolerance for Christianity from many of those seeking tolerance.  This double standard seems to be gaining strength in our society.  Rich and I discuss this and more in episode 10 of the Don’t Blame Jesus Podcast.

We briefly mention the amazing apologists Ravi Zacharias and Dinesh D’Souza.
If you want to be challenged and encouraged in your faith there are no more excellent teachers than Ravi and Dinesh.  They are truly an investment in your faith, plus there are tons of Dinesh D’Souza debates with atheists on YouTube.  Do a search and  you’ll find a ton.

Podcast 09 – Ancient Names and Modern Politics

On today’s podcast Rich and I talk about the problems we have pronouncing and communicating ancient names in modern times.  After thousands of years of language changing through different cultures the fact is that nobody has a prayer or pronouncing anything correctly, at least according to ancient standards.  We may be able to make them sound similar to what we have heard but it is unlikely that we even approach what someone from ancient times could even understand.  The bottom line is to not get sidetracked or discouraged but instead plow through to find the meaning and the intent that God has for you.  At DontBlameJesus.com we freely admit that we mess it up all the time, we just hope that you end up hearing our hearts instead of our words.

Then Rich gets a phone call and DontBlameJesus takes it’s first commercial break. :) Today’s episode is brought to you by PressCats.com.  PressCats is The Graphic Designers Printer.  If you have a project that needs printing or design please visit the website and check it out their prices.  Thanks PressCats. :)

Finally we talk about our new President Barack Obama.  It is our hope that regardless of party affiliation, that all Christians will turn their hearts toward the Lord and lift up our new President in prayer.  Indeed, it is the prayers of the righteous that bring true change and we as believers too often become lax in our responsibilities.  We are commanded to pray for our leaders and we want to see the change that only prayer can bring.  Everyone, regardless of their party affiliation, wants to see the United States succeed and do well.  It is our desire at DontBlameJesus to see believers in America unite in prayer and see the change that only prayer can bring.

Podcast 06 – Prophecy of Tyre

Today Rich and I (well, mostly Rich) talk about the prophecy in Ezekiel regarding the ancient city of Tyre and the long fulfillment of that prophecy.

We often have a backwards perspective regarding prophecy which I touch on briefly.  We also talk briefly about the Biblical qualifications for a prophet.

Remember to send your comments, suggestions and questions to show (at) dontblamejesus (dot) com.  Thanks for listening.

Asked to do another couple podcasts on Prophecy

The first one will have to do with the City of Tyre. Ezekiel is the book where you can find it. Probably part of the podcast next time. I have another out of Daniel ready to go as well, that goes along with Revelation.

Ken and I need to be doing more blogs to encourage you. Next blog I will be adding links to some of the best teaching that I have found on where we got our Bible and how we can trust it.

God bless you guys,

Rich

Podcast 05 – Experiencing God

Rich and I talk about experiencing God.  If we are flesh and blood, how can we experience God who is a spirit?  How do we bridge that gap?  What is the role of the Holy Spirit in all this?  We tackle these questions and more in this latest podcast.

If you would be so kind we would love to hear from you.  Send us email at show (at) dontblamejesus (dot) com.  (Just replace the (at) with the @ sign and the (dot) with a period)  As always if you hear us say something stupid remember, it’s all us, don’t blame Jesus.  See you next time.

Podcast 04 – Knowing the will of God.

Well here we are with another podcast.  Today Rich and I talk about how we can know the will of God.  It is a constant battle we face learning to walk by faith and not by sight but in the end, it is what God has called us to.

We discuss how God’s will won’t violate the truth as revealed in His Word, the Bible, and how sometimes God shuts one door to get us to a different one.  We also talk about how the Bible is for us today in our day to day lives and how in order to hear the voice of our Lord we must spend time quietly seeking Him.  Above all we reveal that we are to be flexible because God’s leading may take us along a winding path.  Being rigid is the surest way to get broken.  Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be broken.

We also read an email we got from our friend Rob.  His encouraging words are much appreciated, thanks Rob.

Don’t forget to email us your questions or comments to show (at) dontblamejesus (dot) com.  We look forward to hearing from you to help us taylor our show to minister to you in any way we can.  God bless you and thanks for listening.

Podcast 03 – The Anti-Christ

Podcast 3 is finally here after a week long delay while I moved my office (which houses the recording gear).  Rich and I talk about the Anti-Christ, or better said, the fake-Christ.  We talk about his revealing, his rise to power and the circumstances surrounding this period of history.

Please feel free to send us your questions or comments to show (at) dontblamejesus (dot) com.  We would love to hear from you.  And if you have the ability to record a short voice comment send us that too.  We would love to hear from you and perhaps play it on the show.

Podcast 02 – Politics and Pythons

Rich and I talk politics and discuss the righteous response when faced with crappy candidates.  Although I am being facetious I know there are a lot of Christians out there who are feeling unrepresented and are therefore resigning themselves to withdraw from the political process altogether.  Well, I offer my 2 cents in the matter and I hope you’ll take it in the spirit in which it is intended.

Rich then shares a story from our Bible College days when we came into the possession of a ball python and illuminates some of the spiritual tie ins to the python in the scriptures.
