Podcast 07 – Into The Book of Daniel

This week Rich and I delve into the book of Daniel and look at one of the fascinating prophetic stories found there.  Turn in your Bible to the book of Daniel and follow along with us as we hear about God’s finger writing on the wall.

New Year’s Eve Prophecy Update

If you don’t have plans for New Year’s Eve and are in the Spokane Area plan on attending the New Year’s Eve Prophecy Update at Calvary Spokane.  From 7:00 p.m. to Midnight Pastor Ken Ortize will be discussing the events of today as they relate to Bible Prophecy.  It is always a wonderful way to bring in the new year.

If you can’t make it there in person you can tune in on the internet for a complete live feed.  Visit the Calvary Spokane Website and click on the Live Broadcast link on Wednesday December 31st at 7:00 p.m. and you’ll be able to watch all the nights events.  I think it is even simulcast on the Radio on the CSN radio network (97.3 FM in Spokane).

Feel like you are getting washed away in a flood?

Man, life throws stuff at you so fast. Anyone else struggling to keep you head above water?

Psalm 69:1-2 “Save me, O God, for the waters have threatened my life. I have sunk in deep mire, and there is no foothold; I have come into deep waters, and a flood overflows me.”

Psalm 69:13-15 “But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord,at an acceptable time; O God, in the greatness of your lovingkindness, Answer me with Your saving truth. Deliver me from the mire and do not let me sink: May I be delivered from my foes and from the deep waters. May the flood of water not overflow me nor the deep swallow me up, no the pit shut its mouth on me.”

David, the King, Shepherd and Hero wrote this. Man, if he can go through such struggles, I guess that it doesn’t surprise us to much that we go through struggles as well. But just as he expects God to pull him out and save him, we can be expectant for God to save us in our struggles as well. Not because we are so cool, but because of His lovingkindness toward us. He has an investment of time and energy in His relationship with you. He is not giving up on you, don’t give up on Him. Take time to have a talk with Him, like David did.

God bless,

Rich

Podcast 06 – Prophecy of Tyre

Today Rich and I (well, mostly Rich) talk about the prophecy in Ezekiel regarding the ancient city of Tyre and the long fulfillment of that prophecy.

We often have a backwards perspective regarding prophecy which I touch on briefly.  We also talk briefly about the Biblical qualifications for a prophet.

Asked to do another couple podcasts on Prophecy

The first one will have to do with the City of Tyre. Ezekiel is the book where you can find it. Probably part of the podcast next time. I have another out of Daniel ready to go as well, that goes along with Revelation.

Ken and I need to be doing more blogs to encourage you. Next blog I will be adding links to some of the best teaching that I have found on where we got our Bible and how we can trust it.

God bless you guys,

Rich

Podcast 05 – Experiencing God

Rich and I talk about experiencing God.  If we are flesh and blood, how can we experience God who is a spirit?  How do we bridge that gap?  What is the role of the Holy Spirit in all this?  We tackle these questions and more in this latest podcast.
